Yaariyan was a surprise hit of 2014, even though it had a cast mostly comprising of newcomers and a newbie director in Divya Khosla Kumar, never mind she is the wife of T-series honcho, Bhushan Kumar. It boasted of some youth-pleasing music that made the youngsters overlook the contrived and cliched narrative, and made it a hit.
