CRUCHY HONEY CHICKEN Ingredients 2-3 tablespoons honey + for drizzling 250 grams boneless chicken, cut into strips 2 tablespoons chopped garlic Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce 1 egg ¼ cup refined flour ¼ cup breadcrumbs 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon garlic powder Oil for deep-frying 4-5 stalks spring onion greens, finely chopped Method 1. Take chicken strips in a bowl. Add garlic, salt, crushed peppercorns, chilli flakes, soy sauce and egg and mix well. Set aside for 15-20 minutes. 2. Combine flour, breadcrumbs, crushed peppercorns, onion powder, garlic powder and salt in another bowl. Mix well. 3. Heat sufficient oil in a pan. 4. Coat the chicken strips in the flour mixture and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. 5. Transfer the fried chicken into a bowl. Add honey. Reserve some of the spring onion greens and add the remaining, toss to mix. 6. Garnish with reserved spring onion greens, drizzle some honey and serve immediately.
