This ‘no meat’ meaty dish made with soya chaap marinated in a spicy and tasty tandoori marination. Cooked till charred and stuffed between bread and some mayo for the creaminess. A snack to remember!
TANDOORI SOYA CHAAP SANDWICH
Ingredients
3-4 ready-made tandoori soya chaaps
8 white bread slices
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
½ tsp chaat masala
½ cup shredded purple cabbage
1 small carrot cut into thin strips
½ cup shredded cabbage
Butter for applying
Green chutney for applying
Onion rings for topping
Sandwich masala for sprinkling
Potato chips to serve
Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
1. Chop the tandoori soya chaaps into small pieces and transfer into a large bowl. Add mayonnaise coriander leaves salt crushed black peppercorns chaat masala purple cabbage carrot cabbage and mix well.
2. Apply some butter on all slices of bread and apply some green chutney on each slice. Place a portion of the soya chaap mixture on top of 4 slices of bread. Arrange some onion rings and sprinkle some sandwich masala. Cover with the remaining the slices with the butter side facing down.
3. Apply some butter on top of each sandwich.
4. Heat an electric sandwich griller. Place the sandwiches with the butter side facing down and apply some more butter on top of the sandwich. Grill till done.
5. Diagonally halve the sandwiches and serve hot with potato chips and tomato ketchup.
