MANGODI CABBAGE
Ingredients
½ cup mangodi (moong dal vadis)
¾ medium cabbage
1 tbsp oil
¼ tsp asafoetida
½ tsp mustard seeds
8-10 curry leaves
Salt to taste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
3 green chillies
½ tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
¼ cup frozen green peas
Method
1. Roughly chop cabbage.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan add asafoetida and mustard seeds and let the seeds splutter.
3. Add curry leaves and sauté for ½ minute. Add mangodi mix and sauté for 2 minutes.
4. Add a few drops of water cover and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Add cabbage salt turmeric powder and ginger cover and cook for 1 minute. Mix well cover and cook for ½ minute.
6. Slit green chillies and add. Mix cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
7. Add dried mango powder and mix well. Add green peas mix well cover and cook for 5 minutes.
8. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
