Watch this video to learn how to make the iconic Chocolate Mud Cake dessert. CHOCOLATE MUD CAKE Ingredients 180 grams dark chocolate 3 tablespoons cocoa powder 1¼ cups refined flour + for dusting 150 grams butter + for greasing ¾ cup castor sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla essence 3 eggs 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 tablespoon coffee powder Method 1. Preheat oven at 180ºC. Grease a baking tin with some butter and dust with some flour. 2. Chop chocolate, transfer in a bowl and melt in the microwave. Remove from heat and whisk till smooth. 3. Cream butter and castor sugar in a bowl with an electric beater till smooth and creamy. 4. Add vanilla essence and eggs, one by one, and beat well until well combined. Add melted chocolate and beat again. 5. Sieve flour and cocoa powder into the mixture. Add baking powder and fold till well combined. 6. Dissolve coffee powder in some warm water and mix well to make a concoction. Add the concoction to the flour mixture and fold well. 7. Pour the batter in the prepared tin, tap the tin to level, put the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool. 8. Serve topped with a chocolate ganache.
