Varun Dhawan who is busy with his upcoming Remo D'souza film 'Street Dancer 3D' with Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi said that his last film Kalank's failure affected him and that should also be the case.
The multi-starer Kalank film had Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonam Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Alia Bhatt and Varun crashed miserably at the box-office and was not accepted by the audiences. To this failure Varun reacted saying that it was a Bad film, and the blame is not just upon the film-makers but the entire ensemble and so he himself takes the blame too of the failure. This flop film made him upset and had affected him. which means his films are important to him.
If he as an actor wouldn't care and be affected which means he's not associated with them. Varun chooses a film, if he can enjoy doing it as if he doesn't it wont reflect on-screen. Further he said, if he wants to do serious film, he would pick something like 'October', since he loves Dancers in real life so he's a Street dancer in his next. Finally, if he wants to do a comedy film he would pick David Dhawan as he is one of the best in the country.
Also, Varun's new project is a classic film Coolie No.1, remake which is made by his father David and has Sara Ali Khan opposite him.
