PRAWN CURRY WITH TOMATO Ingredients 1 cup prawns, shelled and deveined ½ cup tomato puree Salt to taste ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 4 dried red chillies 4-5 cloves 4-5 black peppercorns 1 teaspoon coriander seeds 1 tablespoon oil 1 medium onion, chopped 1 cup coconut milk 2 fresh green chillies, slit Method 1. Take prawns in a bowl. Add salt, turmeric powder and ginger-garlic paste, mix well and set aside. 2. Grind together dried red chillies, cloves, peppercorns and coriander seeds with some water to a fine paste. 3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion, mix and sauté till golden. Add prepared paste, mix and cook for a minute. 4. Add prawns, mix and sauté for a minute. Add tomato puree and mix well. Add some water, mix, cover and cook on low heat for 2 minutes. 5. Add coconut milk, mix and cook on high heat for a minute. Add green chillies, mix and bring to a boil. 6. Serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
