Sweet tomato chutney made with simple ingredients easily available at home!
MEETHI TAMATAR KI CHUTNEY
Ingredients
4 medium tomatoes quartered
2 tbsps oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 bay leaves
6-8 dried red chillies
1 tbsp raisins
Salt to taste
½ cup chopped jaggery
Method
1. Heat oil in an earthen pot. Add cumin seeds and let them change colour. Add bay leaves and dried red chillies and sauté for 30 seconds.
2. Add the tomatoes raisins and salt and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes or till the tomatoes turn soft and pulpy.
3. Add jaggery mix cover and cook for 5-6 minutes. Switch the heat off and allow the mixture to cool completely. Discard the bay leaves and dried red chillies.
4. Transfer the mixture into a serving bowl. Serve.
