Half slit pavs stuffed with spicy potato mixture topped with cheese and baked.
PULL APART PAV SANDWICH
Ingredients
4 pavs
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup onion paste
½ cup tomato puree
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 tablespoon pav bhaji masala
2 large potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
Salt to taste
Grated mozzarella cheese for topping
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180º C.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion paste and sauté well.
3. Add tomato puree, mix well and bring to a boil. Add chilli powder and pav bhaji masala, mix well and cook for a minute.
4. Add potatoes and mix well. Add salt, mix well and cook for a minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
5. Make slits on pavs without cutting through. Stuff in cooked potato mixture and top with generous amount of cheese.
6. Place them on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake till the cheese melts.
7. Serve hot.
