A healthy easy and delicious masoor dal soup is here to impress one and all. Serve hot and enjoy a homely bowl of nourishment.
MOONG AND COCONUT SOUP
Ingredients
1 cup split green gram (moong dal) soaked
1 cup coconut milk
1 medium onion roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves chopped
½ tsp black pepper powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 large tomatoes roughly chopped
Method
1. Heat a pressure cooker add onion and garlic and roast for 2 minutes. Drain and add the split green gram 2 cups water black pepper powder red chilli powder salt and mix.
2. Add tomatoes cover and cook under pressure till 2-3 whistles are given out.
3. Cool and put into a mixer jar and grind till smooth.
4. Pour back into the cooker add coconut milk mix and bring it to a boil.
5. Pour into bowls and serve.
