MEATBALL FOOTLONG Ingredients 450 grams mutton mince 1 foot long loaf 1 tablespoon oil +for shallow-frying 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 tablespoon chopped garlic 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves 1 egg Grated mozzarella cheese as required Grated processed cheese as required 1 tablespoon barbeque sauce ½ small lettuce, shredded Method 1. Preheat oven at 180ºC. 2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté for a minute. Add garlic and sauté till golden. Remove from heat and cool. 3. Add onion mixture, chilli flakes, thyme, salt, crushed peppercorns, chopped coriander and egg to mutton mince and mix well. 4. Slice the loaf. Put some mozzarella cheese and processed cheese on top and put them onto a baking tray. Place the baking tray in preheated oven and bake till cheese melts. 5. Grease your palm with some oil, divide the mince mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls. 6. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan.Shallow-fry meatballs till golden. Add barbeque sauce and toss to mix. 7. Put some lettuce on the base of the loaf. Top with meatballs and cover with the other slice. 8. Serve hot.
