This is unlike anything you have probably seen so far. The Chicken Burger Bowl is just every element assembled in a bowl and served with a lovely dip and sides of French Fries caramelised onions and tomato slices.
CHICKEN BURGER BOWL
Ingredients
300 grams chicken mince (keema)
4 burger buns
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 green chillies finely chopped
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
1/3 cup grated mixed cheese
2-3 tbsps mayonnaise
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder to taste
4 tbsps oil
2 medium onions thinly sliced
1 egg
Dip
1 avocado
10-12 fresh basil leaves
3-4 garlic cloves
Salt to taste
6-8 black peppercorns
2 tbsps parmesan cheese powder
1 green chilli
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp pine nuts
2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
To serve
Assorted lettuce leaves as required
Tomato slices as required
French fries as required
Toasted white sesame seeds for garnish
Method
1. Take chicken mince in a large bowl. Add onion green chillies coriander leaves mixed cheese mayonnaise salt and black pepper powder and mix well.
2. Dip your fingers in water take a portion of the mixture and shape it into a patty.
3. Horizontally slice the burger buns in half. Cut each half into 4 strips.
4. Heat an iron pan. Place the strips on it and toast till crisp on both sides. Take them off the heat.
5. Heat 1 tbsp oil in the same pan. Add onions and salt and mix well. Cook till golden brown. Transfer in a bowl.
6. Heat remaining oil in the same pan place the patty and cook on high heat for 3-4 minutes flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes as well.
7. To make the dip vertically half the avocado discard the seed and scoop out the flesh into a blender jar. Add basil leaves garlic salt black peppercorns parmesan cheese powder green chilli lemon juice pine nuts and extra virgin olive oil and blend to a fine paste.
8. To assemble the bowl arrange some lettuce leaves in a serving bowl arrange one patty add a few toasted bun strips add a portion of the blended paste arrange some tomato slices add a portion of the French fries and add a portion of the caramelized onion. Sprinkle toasted white sesame seeds and serve immediately.
