Fish steamed to perfection along with some simple spices and sauces tastes delicious. Such beautiful and easy to make recipe of Steamed Fish with Ginger is something you and your family will absolutely enjoy so try out soon.
Ingredients
2 whole pomfrets scaled and cleaned
2 tbsps thin strips of ginger
3 spring onions
Sea salt to taste
1 tsp sesame oil
10 spring onions with greens sliced
1 tsp soya sauce
¼ tsp crushed black peppercorns
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tsp chilli oil
Method
1. Heat sufficient water in the bottom half of a steamer. Place the perforated top over it.
2. Slice 3 spring onions and spread on the perforated top.
3. Make a few slits on the pomfret fish. Sprinkle a little sea salt over them and keep them on the spring onions. Sprinkle ½ tbsp ginger strips. Cover the steamer and let the fish steam till done.
4. Heat sesame oil in a non stick pan add the sliced spring onions with greens and saute.
5. Add soya sauce remaining ginger strips salt crushed black peppercorns ¼ cup water and cook for 3-4 minutes.
6. Transfer the fish onto a serving plate. Pour the sauce over them. Drizzle chilli oil over them. Place the steamed sliced spring onions on top and serve immediately.
