A Rajasthani kadhi which is super easy prep and makes for a hearty meal when paired with steamed rice. Masaledar kadhi made with mangodi
MASALA MANGODI KADHI
Ingredients
½ cup mangodi (moong dal wadi)
3 tbsps gram flour (besan)
¾ cup yogurt
130 gm bhuna masala
1 tbsp oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
2-3 dried red chillies broken
12-15 curry leaves
Method
1. Put gram flour in a bowl add yogurt and whisk till smooth. Add bhuna masala and mix well. Add 2 cups water and keep whisking till you get a lump-free mixture.
2. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds dried red chillies curry leaves and mangodi and saute for 3-4 minutes.
3. Add yogurt-gram flour mixture mix well and cook stirring at intervals till it thickens to desired consistency.
4. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with steamed rice.
