National Award winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar will be conferred with an honorary Doctorate in Arts by Ahmedabad-based Rai University to appreciate his contribution to the Indian cinema and for laying a pitch for women-centric films. Best known for his films like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Traffic Signal and Fashion, Bhandarkar will be given the honour at the annual convocation ceremony of the educational institute on Saturday, read a statement.
