Daisy Shah, who made her Bolly debut with Jai Ho opposite Salman Khan and was recently seen in Hate Story 3, is all set to make her debut on stage. The actress will be seen in the play Ek Aur Begum Jaan in which she plays the title role. She trained for one-and-a-half month in Kathak to portray the pivotal character. She will be also be seen singing in this musical. Daisy says, ?The experience with theatre is very different from films, it makes you feel more connected and has an instant reaction for your work.? Elaborating on her character in the play, she says Begum Jaan is complex and challenging with various layers and shades to her personality. The play revolves around a famous courtesan of Lucknow who is an exemplary dancer, but a lonely soul. When a chronic alcoholic Rashid Khan gets mesmerised by her she reforms him. As she falls head over heels in love with Rashid, his father Nawab Sarfraz Khan plays tricks to separate the lovers.
